Ultra Gas & Energy Ltd. (UGEL) was honoured for outstanding performance and excellence in LNG at the 10th LNG India Summit 2026, recognising its contribution to strengthening India’s LNG infrastructure and making cleaner fuel accessible to more fleets.
Held on 14–15 October in New Delhi, the summit was organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India. Its tenth edition brought together industry leaders, policymakers and energy experts to discuss supply security, infrastructure, last-mile connectivity and LNG’s applications in heavy mobility and industry. The LNG India Awards marked the anniversary by celebrating contributions across the LNG and natural gas sector.
For UGEL, the honour underlines the importance of connecting fuel infrastructure with transport demand. Fleet operators considering LNG need dependable refuelling access along the routes they serve. UGEL’s network across industrial and transport corridors helps meet this requirement, supporting the adoption of LNG in everyday operations.
Under the leadership of Maqsood Shaikh, Managing Director & CEO, UGEL’s presence at the summit also extended to the heavy mobility programme. Shaikh shared his insights as a panellist for “LNG for Heavy Mobility: The Next Frontier for Clean Transport,” a discussion closely aligned with the company’s work.
This recognition marks a significant achievement for UGEL and reinforces its commitment to expanding LNG access across India. The company will continue to focus on the infrastructure that supports fleet operators and enables lower-emission road transport.
